The Space

Adam Neff, MS, LPC

I’m Adam, and I’m glad you’re here.

Before I became a therapist, I spent years in the fire service—showing up in people’s hardest moments, holding space in the unknown, and learning that the weight we carry isn’t always visible. That time shaped how I understand pain, resilience, and what it means to be human. It taught me that we can be surrounded by others and still feel alone, and that deep connection can change everything.

My work now is about creating that kind of connection. A space where you don’t have to fix or perform. A space where you can just be.

I especially work with people in high-stress professions, such as first responders, the military, and those who hold it all together until they can no longer do so. I offer a relational, grounded approach that blends presence with practical tools. Together, we might use talk therapy, somatic awareness, EMDR, or just honest conversation to explore what’s showing up for you, and what’s asking to be witnessed.

Beyond therapy, I’ve led trainings and workshops around trauma, leadership, and emotional wellness in emergency service communities. I stay connected to that world through the Springfield Area Memorial Stair Climb, an event I founded to honor the 343+ firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11.

I believe there are deep connections waiting for us if we’re open to them. Thank you for your trust. I’m honored to be part of your journey.
